Tavel, the AOC appellation

In the wine world, there is white, rosé, red and... Tavel

Tavel wine is a Rhône Valley Cru, and according to numerous gastronomes, considered to be the best rosé wine in the world.

On the slopes of the right bank of the Rhône, between the pont d’Avignon and the pont du Gard, lies an exceptional terroir… the "Kingdom of Tavel".
The most noble varieties of grapes flourish on this terroir strewn with flat white stones (lauzes), pebbles, sand and gravely soils and give birth to an unique cru dedicated to rosé wine.

Tavel is a wine certified by the Appellation of Controlled Origin and produces over the communes of Tavel and Roquemaure in the Gard.

Vignoble de Tavel

Tavel wine is not only a summer wine, but also a wine for the whole of a meal, and one that can be appreciated all the year round.

It drinks well when very young, but also the older vintages.

Tavel wine can live several lives : with a sweet and flowery childhood, a full-bodied and spicey adolescence, and a peppery and richly mellowed old age.

On the slopes of the right bank of the Rhône, between the pont d’Avignon and the pont du Gard, lies an exceptional terroir… the "Kingdom of Tavel".
